As a practitioner of chaos magick, I wanted to share that while some of these symbols are commonly used in alchemy, they can also be used as sigils in modern practice. I don't mean to be "that guy", but there is no such thing as "necessary" within chaos magick. One of its core principles is the avoidance of dogma, and another is that reality is totally subjective based on belief. So sure, you can believe you HAVE to encircle the intended meaning or whatever, but that's not taught as a rule anywhere within chaos magick whatsoever.

I want to use these as sigils for spells in a game but they don't fit that well. If there was a way to edit the lines and the images I could set them to how I like but that would take forever...lol.
Is there a way to make these look less alchemical (less scientific) and more mystical like magic sigils or runes?
I'm afraid I'm not familiar enough with magic sigils (and alchemy, for that matter) to figure out what needs to be adjusted :). Could you give examples of sigils that are too scientific and sigils that are mystical enough?
Basically something that looks more like it was written or drawn by hand and less technical. As far as an idea for what they may look like, take a look at the Nordic runes for inspiration here.
I also wonder if it's possible to set it so we could alter the lines and such to more of what may be needed.
I think Rune Generator produces runes which look somewhat similar to norse runes. I did some tests with the hand-drawn style, but didn't publish them as something interactive.

I would love to see this updated to be used with proper sigil generation. something that allows you to put the intent in then shows the breakdown and then display choices of different sigils that could be made with the intent. this would help many neopagans and Wiccans who are new to sigiles as well as others. First of all, i am not a witchcraft practitioner so i wont claim to represent them, their opinions or knowledge, however i did investigate about sigils out of curiosity/worldbuilding reasons.
As far as i know neopaganism is inspired by a lot of cultures so looking for staves/runes/sigilla in general may lead you to the meaning behind a few symbols.
There are a few methods of sigil creation but most of them have what's called an intent. Intent is in very simple words the desire that lead you to create a sigil. A few notable methods are using a pattern such as a magic square or witch circle to create a path, combining symbols (what this gen does) and chaos magic where you would use a fountain pen or similar writting device where the resulting symbol isn't really methodic and the "style" matters as it's a result of your intent.
As for this generator i could identify a few notable symbols:
Curves and patterns from the zodiac and the lesser key of solomon
The symbols for planets and greek gods usually related to alchemy
a circle with a cross inside (usually means earth from what i could gather)
a circle with a * inside (wheel of time)
Quarter moons, used to represent lunar phases when inside a circle but also to represent the horned god or a trinity godess (usually mother crane and maiden)
Cross with arrows (means travel)
* with arrows means chaos
Circle with dot inside (peace)
Triforce (From zelda, in that game it stands for the trinity of courage, wisdom and power)
The number 2
a lightning like sign (either harry potter or Eihwaz or Sowulo rune)
Elemental symbols from alchemy
The way i would implement this into a program is probably adding an option to force exclusion/inclusion from symbols and grouping symbols into themes and motiffs that can overlap, such as nature, change, etc. that way you choose one or more themes and the sigil is composed from symbols in that category
I think there could be a downloadable version, or just an addition to the browser version, where you can edit the sigil yourself and choose what symbols to combine, where and whatnot.
Great generator tho, I love. Definitely going to use it for some stuff, and of course I'll credit.

Really feel the style of Sigils from The Lesser Key of Solomon and some other old alchemical books. Pretty great for a quick grag of a symbol, or as i do, take some, and re-edit them on photoshop with my digital tablet, to give a more "Handwritten" feel. Pretty good generator!
...As PNG sigils are exported on transparent background without glow. (post)
That's what people were asking for and it makes sense - it's very easy to add solid background if you have a transparent image, but much harder to remove it. I could add a solid background as an option, but it seems to be an overkill for such small application.
Lovely stuff. Great already, but my suggestion would be to chosse a sigil style as well (linear, round, random, etc.), however the randomness helps with creativity, so take that as you will.

Right-click a sigil and choose "Export as PNG" or "Export as SVG".
For whatever reason, it does not export the background color. At least not with PNG.

You can adjust the thickness of strokes in that dialog as well as create your own own style and save it if needed.
