Sails
This is a simple sailing ship generator created for PROCJAM 2024.
Some ideas for improvement:
- Different types of sails.
- Curvilinear hull.
- Small details such as a lantern, an anchor, banners etc.
- More rigging.
- Option for folded sails.

Great auto-populating details, so much potential here. Being able to set sail/rig types per mast would make it very easy to get stand in graphics for Barquentines and other mixed rig vessels. I imagine future integration with dwelling generator could even allow for deck plans.
Oh man, if this included deck plans, my yearly “Talk like a pirate” one shot would be elevated!
I really like how your generators just evolve and that you expand the assortment of generators.
Something I'm looking forward to is seeing the different types of sails if you get to it. It would be cool to expand it to generate ships with designs from different countries and eras... also a slider for wear and tear would be cool.
Something that is a must have would be a flag, though.
I hope I don't come across as demanding btw, seeing a new generator from you is just so exciting :)
Awesome! Don't know much about ships, but i wonder if these settings can also imply a certain type of vessel that could be displayed when settings are adjusted/randomized? Like settings x,y,z results in something similar to a galleon or a,b,c is similar to a schooner, etc
That would be an excellent task if Watabou had an intern or something. I imagine that task would just be checking the currently set values against ranges and then picking the closest matching ship type label..
